Trend: The Nasdaq 100 ($NDX) 10-day simple moving average crossed over the 30-day simple moving average on 8-15-2006.
The last time the 10-day moving average touched the 30-day moving average was in early May (see chart below). The 10-day MA crossed under the 30-day MA at just over the 1700 level. Yesterday's cross-over occurred at the 1500 level. Between the May cross-under and the August cross-over, the Nasdaq 100 dropped about 200 points.
