Economic Activity Is Rebounding – Ceridian-UCLA Pulse of Commerce Index

Trend: The pulse of commerce index (PCI) shows the upswing that started in 2009 continues to gain momentum.

A chart of the pulse of commerce index (Ceridian-UCLA Pulse of Commerce Index) from January 1999 through March 2010 shows a rebound starting in mid 2009 from the great recession that started in January 2008.

Note that the 2008 recession was much deeper and longer than the 2001 recession.
